Advent Chapel Two

The Shepherd

A shepherd, Pastor Rouland, visited our chapel today. He tried to disguise himself with dark sunglasses, but everyone knew he was a shepherd. He told us about the amazing night when the dark sky was filled with light from the heavenly angels. The angels announced that Jesus, the perfect gift from God, had been born! This was such wonderful news the shepherds left their field. They ran to find baby Jesus laying in a manger, just as the angels had said.

Three classes, Mrs. Linneman's, Mrs. Mudd's, Mrs. Rouland's, sang during our chapel this morning. The children sang "Christmas News" and "Go, Tell It on the Mountain." They did a wonderful job sharing the Nativity story with their families.

After chapel, Mrs. Douglas' class and our class practiced the songs we will sing next week for chapel. We can't wait for our families to hear us sing.
