Tinkering

Tinkering with Building Materials

Our STEM challenge will be:
Create a tall building using several different materials.

Today we tinkered with building materials.
We'll do this for a few more days, then the children will make their building.

Cutting paper to make a rainbow.

The children are always so focused as they do their work.

The Rocket Launch

Unfortunately the rocket launch was already finished when we came outside, but a few eighth graders showed us their rocket and explained how it worked. Thank you, eighth graders!

Jesus Does Not Change

Chapel

Mr. Debrick, our school principal, led chapel.
He read this verse to us.
"Jesus is the same yesterday and today and tomorrow."
Hebrews 13:8
Many things change, like a chameleon, but Jesus never changes.
What comforting news that is!
Thank you to our offering helper!

Other Action

Preparing their picnic at the beach

Naming the colors

Teamwork
Building the high track
Collecting the rocks with crosses
He found six.

This and That

You Have Ten Little Fingers

Every day during our morning meeting, we do an interactive finger play. The children pick a partner and do the actions with a friend.
Today we did "You Have Ten Little Fingers" and a different version of "Humpty Dumpty."

The ABCs are hanging.

The children painted one or two of the letter panels.

The beans are growing.

YESTERDAY
TODAY

We painted.

In preparation for acting out the story of Noah and God's rescue plan, we painted two clouds and a rainbow.
One of the clouds

Our amazing rainbow!

Success!

Yesterday her tower kept falling down.
Today she had amazing success.

Teamwork

They are having a great time rolling a rock back and forth.

Story Time

A beautiful story about how a boy's bear takes him on imaginary journeys while he is sleeping.
Today we wondered, if we had a bear like the one in the book, where would we like the bear to take us.

Today's Highlights

Purple Stuff

The art area has purple paint, ribbon, markers, and other fun things!

This Week's Jesus Story

Abraham and Sarah took a long journey through the desert.
God was with them all the time.

At the end of the journey, they built an altar to thank God for being with them.

Bean Seeds

At 8:00 am, then at 11:00 am
They grow so fast!

Drawing what we see.
