Where do Story Ideas come from?
Today we made a list of favorite place and favorite people.
With these lists we'll have many ideas for creating our own stories.

Happy Wednesday of National Lutheran Schools Week

Pancake Day

So, Fun!
He flipped the pancakes off the grilled to serve the pancakes!
We enjoyed pancakes, sausage, and juice!!

Chapel Next

Mr. Debrick, our school principal, led our chapel.
He talked about how Jesus is the Bread of Life.
When we eat here on earth, we get hungry again.
When we believe in Jesus, we know we will go to heaven and then we will never be hungry or thristy again.
That is great news!

Happy Tuesday of National Lutheran Schools Week

What's Your Favorite Holiday?

For our class Christmas is the most favorite.
Halloween and Easter are quite popular as well.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit

Today we watched the seventh graders perform a play, The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Before we went to the play, we re-read the story so we were familar with the story.
Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter Rabbti listening to their mom.
Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail are being good little bunnies, but Peter Rabbit has gone to Mr. McGregor's garden.
Peter is caught in the gooseberry net.
His brothers and sister rescue him.
It was very engaging!

When we got back to our room, we talked about what parts of the play were like the book and what was different. The play left out the part when Peter Rabbit hid in the watering can. In the play his brothers and sister help him, but in the story Peter Rabbit finds out how to get out of the garden on his own.
Which rescue do you like best?

Jesus Time

Today Mrs. Lohman showed the children what happens when people are baptized.
With water and the words "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit" we become covered with Jesus. What a miracle this is!
