Happy Halloween!

Some Great Outside Moments

New Playground Construction Progress
We took a walk to see the progress on the play space. We are excited about the new double slide!

The Library Lady Visited Today
She read four books and did some fun fingerplays. The books were all really fun. At the end we voted for the book we liked best.

Rock Creation Work Continues
They both decided they wanted to add more details.

Sunglasses and Stories

 Hiding Our Identity!
We're Cool!
We're Happy!
We're Silly!

The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything!

These children cut out the key illustrations from the story and then practiced retelling the story.

These ladies joined in the fun.

Story Stones
Bethany Andrews, the Director of Children's Ministry, visited our class. She used story stones to tell us about how God was with Moses.

Another story
There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves

We walked to the school library. Mrs. Haun read us this book to us with her sunglasses on! It was a pretty silly story! We know we shouldn't put bad things in our mouths, like the little old lady did.

Superhero Day and Harvest Party

A Few of our Superheros!

I wonder who is the best super hero. He has everything under control and protects us all the time.

Chapel
Mr. Kuhlmann, the Activities Director at Lutheran High, led our chapel. He read Matthew 5:16, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Then he carved a pumpkin. He told us we are like a pumpkin. We are filled with all kinds of slimey stuff, but Jesus has made us all clean. Because His light shines in us, we share His love with others.

Harvest Party Time

Mrs. Lohman read The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything, which is a very fun story.

Special Snack Time

We enjoyed a special treat and having three moms join us!

While waiting for everyone to finish snack, we read books. We even had a mom reader.

We enjoyed four activities.

Halloween Bingo

Spider Races

Turkey Making

Apple Tasting

Thank you so much to the families who helped with our party!
It was great fun!

Stuffed Animal Day and Gourds

Red Ribbon Week

For Red Ribbon Week some children brought a stuffed animal or a special doll.

During our morning meeting, those who wanted to told the other children about their animal/doll. We talked about how wonderful it is to have a stuffed animal to hug when we have a bad day.

Amazing Work
These children chose a gourd and drew a picture of it.

We also used our fall colored unifix cubes to measure the gourds length.

Outside Time

Once again digging in the "forest" was an intriguing activity. They found some small earthworms during their digging.

Free Choice Time
These three girls worked together to paint our big pumpkin.

This face means "I am proud of my work!"

Happy Friday

Morning Meeting
We sang, "It's a New Day" and "So Much." Then there was a request for "Tooty Ta." The pictures show what happens when we sing this song.

Back to Coats Today

Outside Time
The wet ground means they can dig in the dirt again.

Free Choice Time

Silent Scream
This is what we do when we are excited. This really is a silent scream, because we are going to the gym to run and run and run. No pictures of our gym time, because we were all too busy running.

Have a great weekend!
