Morning Meeting
We're acting out the poem, "You have ten little fingers" with a partner.
You have ten little fingers,
And they all belong to you.
They are so very wonderful,
Look what they can do.
We can shut them up tight.
We can open them up wide.
We can put them all together.
And we can see what's inside.
We can open them up
and trace all the lines.
We can put them together,
Matching yours and mine.
Important Jobs to Start the Year
So far we have six jobs for our school family. We are thankful for our line leader, door holders, light helper, emergency bag carrier, and caboose. As the year progresses, we will add more jobs.
Choice Time
At the end of choice time, we gathered on the blue rug.
We talked about what we loved about our morning.
Today the children loved:
playing and building with new friends.
playing with the babies.
building a hot tub, castles, and houses.
Outside Time
We loved outside time, but it was really hot!
We did notice a beautiful butterfly! Can you see it?
Jesus Time
This week our story is about Jesus and the Children.
We know Jesus loves us very much.
All the children were told individually the wonderful news they are loved by Jesus. They each received a hug as well.
Small Groups
Today we had two small groups.
One group reviewed steps for using the bathroom.
The other group looked at the picture book, Shadows and Reflections by Tana Hoban. The children noticed photos of shadows or reflections.
