What's in the Present?

 Mr. Debrick brought this present into our classroom.

What a big box!

What could be in it?

Wow! We opened the first box and found another present!

This is getting crazy!

The present is getting smaller ...

and smaller ...

and smaller ...

and smaller!

Finally, everyone had a chance to open a gift.

The children decided it was Mrs. Lohman's turn to open one.

The Birth of Jesus - Part 3

There were shepherds in their field watching over their sheep.

The angels came with great news - Jesus is born!

They find him just as the angels had said!

Our Story for December

The angel came to Mary.

"Do not be afraid. You are going to have a baby."

The angel came to Joseph in a dream.

"Do not be afraid. Mary's baby is special. 

You should name Him Jesus."

It's time to travel to Bethlehem to be counted.

Baby Jesus is born!

Happy Jesus' Birthday!

New Experiences

We continue to search for baby Jesus each morning.

Monday's note said, "Draw a picture of Mary, Joseph, and the angel."

 

Tuesday's note said, "Build the town of Bethlehem." Here are our buildings!

How Fun!

Building with magnatiles and some little jingle bells!

Decorate the Christmas trees using tweezers!

Twisting chenille stick around the straw!

That all adds up to lots of fine motor practice!

Honeysuckle sticks are good for something!

They are amazing drum sticks!

We did it!

We made the beads.

We painted them.

We strung them on the chenille sticks.

It's beautiful!!
