Chapel and Water Day

Closing Chapel

Pastor Rouland told us, "Jesus always, always loves us!"
What great good news!

Today's chapel was special, because one of our preschoolers was baptized today.
She was baptized and all her sins were washed away.

Waiting for Water Day

We played a few games ....
Catch the yarn ball in the milk jug ....

Portfolios

Before putting a bow on their portfolio, the children looked at their work. As they paged through, they notice pictures of themselves and remembered activities. Their favorite section, the most recent, their Old Oak Tree book. They are so proud of their monsters. After looking through them, they pick their favorite color for the bow!
After eating so many jelly beans at school this year, the jelly beans on top seemed to be the perfect touch!

Pentecost

 We celebrated ....

With tongues of fire!

It's a 1, 2, 3, 4 Story
1 room - where the disciples were, when
2 things happened - there was wind and fire above the heads of the disciples
3, 000 people  - believed the words of Peter through the power of the Holy Spirit
4 directions - The story of Jesus great love began to spread to the north, south, east, and west!

We also sang the theme verse for this school year, "Go!"

Ten Things

Today's Chapel

Mrs. Douglas and her students lead our chapel today. They thought of 10 things we want to remember during the summer.

This summer remember ...

1. Play Fair and Share
2. Be Safe
3. How to Calm Down
4. To Show God's Love
5. To Make Good Choices
6. Jesus keeps his promises.
7. Jesus loves us.
8. Jesus wants to be your friend.
9. Jesus died for us.
10. Jesus is always with us.

What an awesome list!

Jellybean Melting Report

Really not much happened yesterday.
Today with the "hot sun" we noticed more changes.
After nap, we noticed the jelly beans are getting bumpy and really squishy.
To help the process of the children had Mrs. Lohman smash them, after we had put them back into the pocket.

We'll see what they look like tomorrow.
