A Really Rainy Day

 Between the Raindrops

As we headed to the Commons for some morning movement, we stopped to look at our reflection in the water. We were remembering Mo Willems' book, Pigeon Needs a Bath. One reason he doesn't want to get into the bathtub is the water is "too reflective."

Jesus Time

A Little Palm Sunday Parade
We walked into Mrs. Douglas' room singing,
"Hosanna, Hosanna, the little children sang,
Hosanna, Hosanna to Christ our Lord and King."

Group Time

We read The Kindness Quilt by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace. In this book Mrs. Bloom asks her class to draw a picture of someone showing kindness. This project is just the beginning of children noticing acts of kindness.

Free Choice Time

A room filled with children practicing being kind to one another!

A Rather Intricate Creation!

Fancy Nancy

Can you find all the fancy things she has on?

Well .... then things got exciting!

As we cleaned up, the storm rolled in. We danced to many Go Noodle songs and stayed safe. We decided to stay in our room for lunch because of the rain and thunder and lightening.  So, we prayed for the lunch helper who brought us our hot lunches and we prayed for the storm to stop. And it did! After nap, we ventured outside to the old playground and this is what we found.

Big, Big Puddles

 It was flooded!

We also noticed the reflections of the clouds and trees in the puddles.

And you have to throw things into the water, don't you?
