School Campus Connections

Sixth Graders

Two sixth grade girls visited our class today. They told us about their lid collection project. They want to collect 400 pounds of lids and $260 so our campus can have two new plastic benches. The whole campus is working together to make this happen. We loved having them come to visit us and tell us about the project.

Mrs. Smith's second grade class invited us to see four versions of Cinderella today. They have been studying fairy tales and wanted to share their stories with us.

Here we are waiting for the performances to begin.

Mrs. Smith introduced each play. The first play was Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters, an African version of Cinderella. Here are the actors taking a bow.

This group is performing Cendrillon, a Caribbean version.

This group performed The Rough-Faced Girl, a native Amerian Canadian version.

The finale was Cinderella, the traditional version.

They did an awesome job creating their script, backdrops, and costumes.

Following the show, we enjoyed a popcorn treat. Yummy!
