Advent and the Zion Bobcat Christmas Store

It's Advent!

During our morning meeting, the altar was changed to reflect the Advent season. We light one candle this week for Hope. We also read a new book called, Manger on the Mantel about a family that opens a very important box at the beginning of Advent. The manger on the mantel helps the family remember the greatest gift of Christmas, Jesus.

Decorating for Christmas

These ladies are painting our "Happy Birthday, Jesus" pretend birthday cakes that will be for sale in our store. Of course, washing our hands afterward is our regular procedure.

These ladies are becoming our paper chain experts.

These ladies are adding decorations to our abstract Christmas tree created using the trees we made on Friday with Mrs. Tyler's first graders.

Our class just chatting about what still needs to be made for our store. We did finish our sign. Watch for its picture tomorrow.

 Exploring the Merchandise

Today we enjoyed decorating trees and deciding how we will operate our store.

Other Moments in our Day by our Student Photographer

These ladies enjoyed playing with the nativity by our altar.

And a few more moments in our day...

The sand table is now our rice table filled with Christmas surprises.
