Sunny, Sunny Day!

Morning Work

As we started our day, we explored different

materials. We tired out new drill brought into 

our classroom, made play dough cookies, 

and built structures. 

Jesus Time

We continued to tell the story of 

Easter Day. Today the children help to

act out the story. 

First, the soldiers were guarding the tomb. 

Next, the angels told the good news 

that the tomb was empty. 

Finally, the women who heard this good news went and shared it with others. 

(There were just the two Marys in the story,

but we wanted everyone to have a part today.)

Small Group

We checked our bean seeds to see if they were growing, but 

we don't see anything happening yet. Then we painted

with flowers. We could see some, but others looked 

more like globs. 

Outside Play

We spent a lot of time outside learning this morning. 

We built with the outside materials, used the pans

to make meals, and had many animals roaming 

the play space.

Center Time

Today during center time, the children were being very creative. Some were writing 

invitations to parties; some were hosting the parties;

some were designing butterflies; and some were 

building their own animal parties in the block area.
