Squirrel Time
Today we introduced the average length of a gray, fox, flying and ground squirrel.
The fox squirrel is the longest and the flying squirrel is the shortest.
Animal Pelt
Thanks to the Mammel Trunk from the Missouri Department of Conservation we were able to touch a squirrel today.
We also touched the fur of a skunk and a raccoon.
The squirrels fur was the softest, but it didn't have much fur.
The skunk's fur was the fluffiest.
