Squirrel Report

Rope Exploration

Yesterday, Wednesday the children had a wonderful time playing with the rope. They wrapped it around furniture, taped it together, and created an incredible web. While they were building, we wondered if this could be something a squirrel would like.

On Thursday - 

The children taped and tied the rope together again. When they were finished, we took it outside to put on the tree. 

The children had to figure out how to get the rope to stay in the tree. After some trial and error,

the ropes were in the tree and they were ready to add a towel.

They quickly decided they wanted to put the apple in the towel along with the seeds we had put out to feed the squirrels.

At 2:45 a squirrel, we think Gingerbread, was at one of our windows. Because of our windows, we can watch it closely and not scared it away.

As of 3:00, no squirrels have tried to climb into the tree to eat the apple. We are wondering what we need to change and/or add.
