Jesus Time
In this week's story Jacob is now the father of twelve sons.
His favorite son was Joseph.
Since the ten older sons knew Joseph was the favorite, they did not like him at all.
They even had Joseph sent away to Egypt.
This was a really bad and scary for Joseph, but God had a wonderful plan.
Because Joseph was in Egypt, God's people received all the food they needed during the seven year drought.
It's a complicated story, but we can learn that God always has a plan. We can trust in Him!

Bird Experiences
Today one small group explored how different birds use their beaks to get food. Some beaks are like a spoon; others are like a tweezers; others like a plier; and others are like a skewer. We will be talking more about beaks this week.
We also listened to a CD with bird sounds. Their sounds "are beautiful."
