Our Three Day Week

Jesus Time

This week's story had many characters. Abraham and Sarah's son Isaac is already old. During his life, he married Rebekah. They had twin sons, Esau and Jacob. At the end of Isaac's life Jacob tricks him and Esau is very angry.
Jacob leaves his home.  On his journey Jacob has a dream. In the dream, the Lord tells Jacob He will always be with him.
We are like Jacob, even though we do things wrong,
God has a plan, is in control and always loves us.

Wednesday Chapel

Mrs. Helmkamp was trying to figure out what our school theme, Called to Care, means. She facetimed with Mr. Debrick and Mrs. Adams, in the church office, to see if they could help her understand it. They were both too busy helping other people to talk.
Guess what!? They were acting out our theme! We want to always be thinking about ways we can help others.

Applesause

On Monday the children helped peel and slice the apples leftover from the Harvest Party on Friday. We used an apple peeler, corer, slicer! We filled a crock pot with apples added some sugar and cinnamon and waited. At the end of the day, the apples were too hot to eat. On Tuesday we ate the applesauce. It was yummy!
