Blue is the Color for Advent

Chapel in the Sanctuary

We noticed all the blue paraments and other blue in our sanctuary.
And the Advent Wreath with one candle lit.

Gary, the puppet, visited us today.
He was so excited about Christmas.  He forgot that the blue paraments remind us we are in the season of Advent, a time of waiting for Jesus.
Gary will back in a couple of weeks to teach us about the color for the next season in our church year.

Pumpkins

On Monday
Today!
Each morning this week the children have noticed their growth. We've counted the sprouts. We have also pulled out a few to examine the roots. Kind of fun to watch new growth in December!

Shadows

As we walked back from chapel, the children noticed their shadows on the brick. We enjoyed making our shadows bounce up and down.

Cookies and Treats Christmas Shop

We made more cookies.

The shop was very busy today!

Christmas Trees

The first group of artists worked on their trees. They cut strips of paper from longest to shortest to make the tree, glued them in place, and then went over to the art area to decorate them.

The final products were really beautiful!

The Writing Station

has been very popular!
