Monday, Monday

Morning Work

Clay

We pulled out the old clump of clay. It was a little hard, so we added a lot of water and enjoy working with it. Tomorrow we will see how the texture changed with all the added moisture.

Beautifully Messy!

A New Puzzle

After a bit of work, and a little help, they did it!

The Third Step

These children were hard at work completing the final step of their self-portrait, painting the whole page with liquid water color.
Their work will be on display outside our classroom.

Other Choice Time Action

The table is ready!

The children are re-reading our collection of Paul Galdone fairy tale books.

What amazing detail in her creation!

The Block Area

The Boat

The Shark Boat

Adding gills and fins

After their creation was completed, the children shared a story about what they had made.
There was a giant robot trying to attack the people on the raft. When the robot got close to the raft, the people jumped on the boat. There are mini robots in the shark boat attacking the people.

This team really worked together adding more structures.

Outside Time

Some water, a little chalk, and small sticks are all you need to draw!

Carefully stepping down the hill on the wood stumps, "Don't step on the hot lava!"

Jesus Time

Since we have a short week, our Jesus time is mainly about Lent.
We have been talking about what we have done wrong, but how much Jesus loves us.
He loves us so much He died and then came alive again!

We have a special Lenten prayer we have been using
from the book Lent is for Remembering.

Dear Jesus,
I'm sorry for the bad things I've done.
I'm glad you still love me.
Thanks you for dying on the cross for me.
Amen.
