Our Community of Learners ...

Engaged in Morning Work
Today's journal writers studied leaves and gourds to inspire their work.

These children (and their teacher) are focused on coloring and cutting out leaves for use with a leaf poem they will be learning.

How fun it is to see many unifix cubes can be linked together! Resting them on chairs is more challenging than just lining them up on the floor.

Playing Outside
It was a little cool outside, but wonderful. The rocks were definitely drier than they were on Friday.

Connecting during Group Time
The children heard the Five Little Leaves fingerplay for the first time.
We also sang "If You're Happy and You Know It" with a few different words.

Learning more about the Israelites
We read Crossing the Red Sea. We learned that Israelites followed God and He kept them safe from the Egyptians. We did wonder why the sea is call the Red Sea when it isn't red.
