A Warm, Blustery Day

 Morning Activity

Mrs. Haun stops into our room and says, "How are things going?" One of the ice painters responds, "We're fine. We have ice to paint." I guess all is well when one has a little ice to paint.😊

Outside Time

The wind was blowing; the clouds were moving quickly; and a few drops of water fell from the sky. We loved being outside to experience a unique weather day in January.

Whole Group Time

Our re-read of Little Boy Jesus involved much conversation about what it was like to grow up then.
We also re-read Snowballs. We started gathering items that could be used when we create our snowball people.

The Christmas Story

These materials were going to "go bye-bye" this week, but the interest in playing with them and retelling the story has definitely continued. It's not time yet.

Dramatic Play

This group has been so busy storytelling during their playtime. Today their story took them on a picnic to the blue rug and then to watch a movie (a live documentary of eagles taking care of their young).

The Creation Table

Today's focus was on painting stars to hang on our windows, coloring, and a few new bead creations.

Block Experiences

This crew was busy the whole morning.

Rice Table

This group was busy burying "turtles" today.
