Morning Activity
Using Clay
Such a different experience than using play dough
The clay is harder so it's great for fine motor skill development.
It's another natural material for children to experience.
Reinforcements
This tower received some great additions, so it's much sturdier now.
Tower Museum Conversations
The children had some great ideas for our museum on Wednesday. They can't wait for you so see their work up close.
Jesus Time
We talked about the colors we place on our altar which change throughout the church year.
Now we have green on our altar for the season of Pentecost.
Next week the cloth changes to blue for Advent. It is also the first Sunday of the new church year.
Then for the days of Christmas the cloth is white.
During the days of Epiphany, the green cloth is back on the altar.
On Ash Wednesday the purple cloth is placed back on the altar for the season of Lent.
When we celebrate Easter Days the white cloth is on the altar.
After the days of Easter, green is hung on the atlar for the rest of the church year.
After the days of Easter, green is hung on the atlar for the rest of the church year.
Singing
We practice singing, In a Little Stable, our song for Sunday.
The words are:
In a little stable Far across the sea
Was a little baby Just like you and me.
Not a bed or cradle, Not a pillow deep,
But a lowly manger Was his place to sleep.
Shepherds stood around Him. Angels watched with care.
For this Babe was Jesus, Lying, smiling there.
Oh, I love this Jesus, Who was little then,
For I know He loves me, Little though I am.
Hopefully you're hearing this song at home.
