Sad and Happy

Sad and Happy Cross

The mystery of Easter is profound! We had a six piece puzzle to remind us of the six Sundays in Lent, a long time to wait to celebrate. We talked today about the sad color of the purple cross.
The purple cross reminds us of all Jesus did for us, but on the other side is ....
a white cross to remind us of the pure celebration of Easter.
We talked about how many times we feel both sad and happy.
When do you have both of these feelings?

Unifix Cube Work

Today the children put two colors of unifix cubes together in different ways to show the numbers 4 or 5. Then they colored their combination.
This activity had many steps. They did a great job!

Squirrel News

We saw Gingerbread (we think) eating out of the box on the ground. We added more food on the playground pieces. Hopefully, this will attract the squirrels more.

Two More New Books

Today we read Goldilocks and the Three Bears as retold by James Marshall and Penquins Love Counting: Let's Make Snowmen! by Sarah Aspinall. Both of these book we received from the Book Fair.
