Before Choice Time
We walked around our campus in search of leaves.
We found so many!
We noticed their color, size and shape.
The leaves also had dots and lines.
And we loved showing them to Mrs. Lohman!
The sycamore trees have such big leaves!
Once Inside -
The children dumped out their leaves and started sorting them.
We eventually had five trays of leaves -
the humongous, bigs, mediums, tiny, and tiniest.
Group Time
Each child picked one leaf from the trays. This leaf is now "their leaf."
They carefully studied its beautiful, unique details.

They were very focused on their drawings!
The next step will be painting their leaf.
Pizza Serving Restaurant
Wow! We are excited about our restaurant.
It's name "Pizza Serving Restaurant."
Today a small group worked on the sign for the restaurant.
First, they painted the background of the sign yellow.
Then they started making pizzas for decorations on the sign.
During this week, we'll be making and adding props.
We're not quite sure when we'll be ready for its grand opening.
