Chapel Day
Mr. Andrew Nelson led our chapel. He read from John 14:6, "Jesus answered, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life." He showed us some great tools that were in his toolbox. Then he told us about how we need a savior because of our sins. He asked us if the tools he shared could fix our sins. We all said, "No!", of course. Next, he took a cross out of his toolbox. The cross is the tool that fixes our sins!
As we left the sanctury, someone noticed the big cross.
While we stopped to look at it, we noticed someone (Mr. Thoelke, the Director of Music) in the hallway upstairs. We asked him how he got up there. He told us he used the stairs. We decided we could us the stairs, too.
So, we went up the stairs.
We were surprised to see Miss Bethany Andrews, the Director of Children's Ministry, in her office painting rocks for storytelling! We invited her to visit our classroom next week, so we could learn more about her rocks. Next, Mrs. Thoelke invited us into the music room. Then, we walked down the "secret" steps back to our classroom.
As we walked back to our room, we walked by the area that will be our new playground. Once again, we noticed rocks, not only in the dirt, but also the pile of rocks that will be used during construction.
