Week of the Young Child - Artsy Thursday

 Creations

Everyday our room is filled with children using their creative abilities.
Today children demonstrated their creativity as they  ...
made pattern block designs.

 built with MegaBlocks

and more MegaBlocks.

used our natural materials like the rocks.

Other Creations Included
Our red, blue, purple, and white painting
Our group collage using fun materials

Stepping Stones

As part of Artsy Thursday each class made a stepping stone for our school garden.

We decided to put a dinosaur with a sun on our stepping stone. One of our children designed dinosaur and another child designed the sun. Everyone added the tiles and gems to the cement.
Watch for the final product picture coming soon!

Bulb Observations

We are working on recording the second week of our bulb observations. Everyone is learning the different parts of the plant as they record their observations.

What's in My Egg?

Five more eggs came in today.
Believe it or not, we guessed three of the five, again today.

Today's items included Shopkins, Thomas the Train, and a spider.
They also included Batman and Judy Hopps from Zootopia.
Can you guess which ones we guessed?
We love this activity! It's fun to guess the item and still be suprised by what is inside.

Magic House Presentation
Sense-sational Science

Many helpers made this a great presentaion about our five senses.
In this picture we are listening to the sound the tuning fork makes on the pie plate.

These volunteers are using their sense of touch to match the shapes.

We used our sense of smell to guess the smell of the balloon. Everyone did a great job remembering to "Smell, but don't tell." We loved smelling the cinnamon.
