Fire Drill
Before the fire drill,we learned that...
we were just practicing so we are safe.
the only time we go out the back door in for a fire drill.
we have to stop what we are doing and go to the door.
we have to stop what we are doing and go to the door.
During the fire drill,
we walked outside through the parking lot to the grassy space.
We waited a long time, but had fun playing "If you _____, then stand on this line. If you _____, then stand on this line." We learned that half our class had on shoes with hot pink and half the class didn't. We also learn today 10 children had shoes with velcro and four children did not.
Shadows
It was another shadow day!
As we walked from place to place today, we told our shadows to go away. Sometimes they cooperated. Sometimes they didn't. We even noticed shadows in our classroom before naptime.
Small Group Time
During small groups, one group has snack, one group does an activity with Mrs. Lohman, and the other group does activity on thier own. Today's own their own group did a great job looking at books.
Another Gorgeous Outside Day
Everyone was so busy running and playing and just having fun with friends.
Learning Centers
These two just played in the sands and chatted for the longest time today. They were definitely developing their language and social skills as they engaged in their conversation.
Well, isn't this just the cutest! The babies were cold and they needed blankets.
The chef is in the background busily preparing food. These play scenarios the children develop support their literacy development.
Another amazing block structure today!
Wonderful work at the Writing Center
Their favorite time of day!
The blue rug just reminds one of a swimming pool and you may just need to pretend to swim.
Clean Up Time
When it's time to clean-up, Mrs. Lohman shakes the shaker and the children are suppose to stop and put their hands on their knees. This helps them to transition from their play to clean up. This child has this routine mastered.
