Our Visitor
Before our Ash Wednesday service, the pastors at Zion visit each preschool class and teach them about the ashes we use on that day. Pastor Rouland visited today. He told us that Lent is a time to say we are sorry for our sins. He also explained that ashes come from fire, but the ashes that he uses are not hot. Then he placed a little ash on the children's heads or hands if they agreed to that.

A Celebration
An important part of today's Valentine's Day celebration was the preparation of our care packages.
The children removed all the packaging and then started filling the cups.
Each cup will have a package of tissue, a pencil, a small notepad, a tootsie pop, and a nail clipper.
We will also include a handmade card in each bag.
They really loved doing this project!
We will finish it at tomorrow's celebration.
