Our Whole Group Time
It was a Fun Friday kind of morning.
We moved and followed directions as we listened to two bean bag songs - Make Friends with a Bean Bag and Bean Bag Rock.
We did our Phon-Ercise song. With this song we say the letter, its sound, and a word that starts with the letter. Then we noticed that some children had letters on their shirts. We read the letters and then read what they said. Quite fun!
We also did the silly actions to Dr. Jean's Tooty Ta song.
We reviewed the story of Jesus feeding many people and rememebered that Jesus cares for us, is thankful, is generous, and performs miracles. We also had some prayer time. We had many prayer requests for people who are sick and we are grateful to Jesus for many things including animals and the sun and moon.
Taking Things Apart
Today a few children pulled apart burlap, another example of things we can tinker with as we explore how things are held together.
All of this tinkering is leading to having the children make something themselves. This work should help them as they choose materials for their creations.
Too Cold to Go Out to Play
Our Student Photographer took some great pictures showing how we love to move in this space.
