The Sky

Watching the Sky

Because of our many windows, today was so intriguing! Throughout the day we noticed the sky constantly changing. In the morning we watched clouds moving quickly. Later we noticed the sky looked almost white and then other times dark gray.
This morning some children played with clouds (cotton balls saturated with water). As they squeezed them out, they pretended it was raining.
During small group time, the children painted a dark stormy sky picture using blue, black and white paint.
When it was time to go outside, it wasn't raining so we played on our play ground for a few minutes. Then it started to rain, so we ran in the Commons.
As we returned from lunch a few drops were falling.
During story time, we looked through Peter Spier's wordless picture book, Rain.
By pick up time, it was pouring, just like one of the pages in Rain.

Jesus Time

This week's story is Jesus visiting Mary and Martha.
This important story reminds us of the importance of slowing down and listening to God. This happens when we pause to read His Word, the Bible. Those wonderful words provide us with lasting peace.

The Letter "S"

This morning we talked about the letter "S" and by the time we were leaving school we were noticing the letter "s" every where we looked. We were also hearing words with the letter "s" sound in them.
