Ash Wednesday
So grateful for our time in chapel with the whole school!
As we begin the season of Lent, we are reminded of how much Jesus loves us. During the days of Lent, we will learn about how He showed His love for us when He was here on earth.
Changing our Altar
In our room we changed the fabric on our altar from white to purple and added a special cross with six candles. When we had our Advent wreath, we gradually lit more candles. As we start Lent, all six candles are lit. As each week of Lent passes, we will light one less candle. On Good Friday, no candles are lit. When we return from our Easter break, we have new candles and will light them all again to celebrate that Jesus is alive.
Scooters
Because of the wet weather, we had another day to play in the Commons. What fun we had though as we used our new scooters for the first time!
The safety rules are:
The scooters are for tummies or bottoms only.
Put your hands inside the handles to protect them from getting hit by other scooters.
Remember that and have fun!
Valentines
What fun we had opening our valentines with our friends at school!
Four children at a time opened their valentines with Mrs. Lohman. We enjoyed reading the cards and finding fun surprises inside.
