They have names!

Everyone has voted.

Some children are little disappointed, but based upon our vote we are going to call our green parakeet, Louie and our blue parakeet, Bluie.

Questions for Investigation

We are wondering ---
What kind of toys will they play with?
How do they fly?
Do other birds make the same sounds as our parakeets?

Based upon our end of the day conversation, we are mostly interested in discovering what kind of toys they will play with first.

Chapel

Mrs. Linnemann led our chapel.
She shared a sad/happy story.
When Adam and Eve were in the beautiful garden God created, they were not to eat from a special fruit tree. But, they did. They sinned. This first sin changed the whole world. The happy part of the story is that God promised a savior, someone who would rescue them and us from all of our sins. We know that savior is Jesus. Because of Jesus, all our sins are forgiven and we will have eternal life.

The Lockdown Drill

The children were great today. After we were quiet for a little bit in our safe place, the bathroom,  we went on our "field trip" adventure across the street.
It was just a little part of our day and then we continued with our regular routine.

The Art Area

Glue, scissors, paper, and fun collage materials makes for some chidlren who are happily creating.
Creations will be going home as soon as they dry.

Mrs. Lohman demonstrated how to use the easel today as well.
We will have some happy painters over the next few days.

Choice Time

Practicing a building strategies he learned yesterday during small groups.

Cool!

Rocks and sticks as a smoothie and straws!
Would you like a sip?
