Dots and Rocks

DOTS

Remembering and Finishing
Many children enjoyed looking at all of our dot pictures in the slideshow this morning. They enjoyed remembering the dots they found.

These two were focused on putting ALL the dots on the paper. The dot sticker collage is now on display on a couple doors in our room.

ROCKS

Today small groups answered the question, "What do you know about rocks?"
This is what they know.

Rocks are ....
in water, sand, the rock pit, on whales, and on your shoes.

Rocks ...
stay in the ground.
are made outside.
have shadows.
have something inside them.

We leave rocks in the rock pit.

Rocks are...
brown pink, red, green.
slidey.
dirty.
shiny.
dull.
slimy.
sharp.
sparkly.

We ...
dig them.
bury them.
find them.
put them in water.
make earrings with them.

We put rocks in boxes and baskets.

A rock can look like ...
a shark.
a sun.

Rocks remind us of the story Goldi Rocks and the Three Bears.

So, we are ....
building with rocks and sticks.

Examining them.

Sharing and playing with them.

And ordering them.

Other Highlights
During our group time, we read The Little Engine that Could. We want to remember positive self-talk when we have something hard to do.

Our Bible story today was about Abraham and Sarah. Even though they had to move and wait a long time for a baby, God blessed them.

Some fresh play dough fun!
