Rocks and Shapes

 The Most Popular Morning Activity
They really enjoyed making the pattern block designs.
Another activity to support their fine motor development.

Outside Time
After our morning meeting, we headed outside to enjoy the day.
The water from Friday was gone!

While outside, the children enjoyed balancing, mixing up wet rocks, and just being with friends.

After a few attempts, she made a basket!
Awesome!

Whole Group Time
During group time, we looked at Shapes, Shapes, Shapes by Tana Hoban, a wonderful wordless picture book. We mainly searched for dots as we anticipate more dot activities this week.

Jesus Time
Our Jesus story today was about the sneaky snake who tempted Adam and Eve. Even though this is a sad story, we know God still loved Adam and Eve. He promised He would send a Savior to save them from their sins. We know Jesus is the Savior He promised. That is wonderful news!

Free Choice Time
It's great to see the children find materials on the shelves and explore them.
Notice the purple pegs and the purple shirt.

Block play with the large cardboard blocks is so much fun!

The sand and rocks continue to be popular.

Sometimes it is the simplest things - rocks, a little water, and a paint brush.
They found the stencils today.

Some food prep in the kitchen

Taking care of our mint plants
We do love touching the leaves. They smell wonderful.
