Whole Group Time
Before chapel, we try to move as much as possible. Today we read and moved to From Head to Toe by Eric Carle.
Can we wave our arms like a monkey? Yes, we can!
Can we clap our hands like a seal? Yes, we can!
Can we arch our backs like a cat? Yes, we can!
Can we bend our knees like a camel? Yes, we can!
Can we kick our legs like a donkey? Yes, we can!
Can we stomp our foot like an elephant? Yes, we can!
Attent-o-Scope
Pretending to have an attent-o-scope is a fun way to remember to focus our attention.
We then talked about focusing our attention, especially when listening to directions.
Chapel with Pastor Rouland
Pastor Rouland taught us how to be Ninji Quiet during our chapel time. The preschoolers did an awesome job.
For his message, he acted out an animal and the children guessed what he was. By the way he acted we could tell exactly what he was pretending to be. Then he read these Bible words, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35) He reminded us that we want people to know exactly who we are by the way we show God's love to others. This was a great lesson for all of us.
