Sink or Float

Whole Group Time

We love reading Fancy Nancy! She loves such fancy words.

Small Group Time

After reading Fancy Nancy, we talked about what STEM means. Mrs. Lohman introduced the fancy words, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Throughout the day we heard Mrs. Lohman using those words.

As we continued our STEM project connected with the book Who Sank the Boat?, we reviewed what items in our collection sank or floated. We practiced being scientists as we tested what happens when something is put inside a floating lid.

Jesus Time

This week's story is when God's people built the tower of Babel. They were so focused on what they were doing, the people forgot about God. Because of this, God confused their language and the people scattered to different places in the world. We are reminded in this story to keep our focus on Jesus and how He always takes care of us.

Outside Time

Over the weekend some signs of fall including a very interesting pumpkin were added to our play space. Some children were fascinated by many ants scurrying around one of the tree stumps.

While outside, this pair found a seed. They brought it inside, broke it open and examined what they found.
