Fall Fun
Wonderful Design
How fun to see how these two were using the materials in our sand table!
Jesus Time
Today we retold the story of Joseph using colors of yarn.
Black: The color black reminds us of how angry Joseph's brothers were that their dad gave him the beautiful coat of many colors.
Blue: The color blue can be a color that reminds of sadness. This is how Joseph felt when all the bad things happened to him.
Yellow: Yellow is a happy color. It reminds us of how Joseph felt when he began to help King Pharoah.
Green: The color green reminds of growing plants. For seven years Joseph helped Egypt save food from growing plants.
Brown: The color brown reminds us of what the plants look like when they didn't have any water. Without water the people only had the food Joseph had stored to eat.
Red: Red is a color of forgiveness. When Joseph saws his brothers again, he forgave them.
Orange: This color is another happy color. Joseph was happy to be with his family again. He was also happy, because he knew God would always be with him.
The Library Lady
The library lady read Leave Me Alone by Vera Brosgol, a Caldecott Honor Book. She also taught us some great finger plays and retold the story of The Little Old Lady who was not Afraid of Anything. Her version was a little different from the one we've been reading this week.
